Telemarketing Call Center
At one time or another we’ve all been interrupted to take a call from a telemarketer. Obviously these telemarketers work somewhere, and that somewhere is a telemarketing call center. These call centers are stationed all over the world and chances are, there are some near where you live. Telemarketing call centers range from 2-5 desks to 500+ stations in one location.
Telemarketing call centers handle a variety of clients, many of them being survey telemarketing, but most being outbound sales telemarketing.
If you’ve never had a call center job, telemarketing is a great place to get started. The barriers to entry are very low because turnover is so high. Most telemarketing jobs pay a minimum wage and sales bonuses on top of that minimum wage. If you learn to sell your product or service, you can earn a lot of money working in a telemarketing call center.
Telemarketing means telephone marketing. Today we take telemarketing to mean other parts of telephone calling apart from marketing. We also use words like telesales, teleservices, telesurvey, but telemarketing is the most common use.
