New Comcast Call Center in Plymouth

Stumble it!

Comcast just opened a brand new call center in Plymouth, reported by Boston’s The Patriot Ledger.

If you’re looking for a call center job in the area, it’s a great time to get on board with a growing company. Executives expect this call center will bring 230 new jobs to the area, housing a total of 330 Comcast employees. Check out Job.com for great Comcast call center opportunities.

Comcast is using a different model for its call centers. Instead of simply cutting costs to the bone, the company is trying to provide great customer service. Comcast specifically wants local employees answering calls for local customers. That should hopefully improve the experience of callers to the support center.

With this newest call center, Comcast has a total of nine call centers in New England, with five in Massachusetts alone. Comcast’s New England expansion will allow more calls to be handled by local employees.

Company executives were reserved in talking about opening even more call centers in the area. With continued growth and expansion, the need could arise. But those decisions will have to be made later down the road.
