Call Center Telemarketing Training
If you’re working in a call center as a telemarketing agent, I’ve got good news! You can be trained to not only do your job better, but more efficiently as well!
Call center telemarketing training is not just your everyday call center sales training. Telemarketing is it’s own breed of sales and should be treated differently from call center sales training. Call center sales training is just a basic training program designed to teach cal center agents how to sell a product or service. Once they finish a sales training program a call center agent should be able to apply that sales training to another other call center job they get.
Call Center Telemarketing Training is different!
Don’t believe the lie that “telemarketing is just sales”. Telemarketing is not normal sales and call center telemarketing training should not just be sales training. Telemarketing training is sales, but in a normal sales environment (auto sales, mobile phone sales, etc) the prospects come to you and want to be sold. Telemarketing is cold calling prospects that don’t necessarily want to buy or even know if they want to buy because they’ve never given your product or service much thought.
When you go through call center telemarketing training you should be taught how to sell something to someone that doesn’t want to be sold. That is the largest part of your job, selling to people who don’t want to buy. In the time you have the prospect on the phone, you have to go through the benefits of buying, why they should buy today (immediate need or benefit), and gain their confidence enough to complete a sale. If your telemarketing training doesn’t include those facets, you didn’t get good call center telemarketing training.
